Transmission line characterization and modeling for electronic circuits and systems design

Channel bandwidth-limited high-speed links or interfaces make circuit solutions not efficient. Both recent and subsequent (SerDes-Serializer/Deserializer) design demand efficient effective coupling between future design, communication, optimization. The challenges vary new are needed. In this article, an analytical wireline model is presented to predict electronic path loss towards adequate designs of circuits systems. An open loop system analysis adapted in paper. Our was tested against different channels: a legacy channel with via stub discontinuity FR4 dielectric, more microwave-engineered without NELCO 6,000 very good matching attained. Good agreement observed our electromagnetic full-wave simulation data, as result showed high level applicability thin-film microstrip line for design. recommended engineers faster designs.
